Erik's parents traveled from Minnesota to spend a couple of weeks with us. Besides the two Tea Parties (click here and here to see the photos) we had a lot going on. Here are a few more photos from our time with Erik's parents.

Grandma and Elena had a "recorder session".
Lots of games were played.

Elena and Deacon made Grandma Lundby a wreath.

Grandma came through and Deacon finally got a chess set!
The first chess duel between Erik and Deacon...  and guess what... Deacon won!
Grandma and Elena went on a little trip, Elena will share their adventures in another post.
Grandpa helped the kids have a few bonfires.
Erik and his dad tackled a lot of projects around the house and garage.

These critters certainly kept us entertained.

A quick photo with Grandpa and Grandma before the kids went to school.
The kids snapped one of us too.
Saying goodbye on Grandma and Grandpa's last day here.  Hugs...
and off to school they go.

We had a lot of fun with Erik's parents and now we're getting ready for Erik's sister and her family to arrive. Lots of fun, lots of family, lots of love!

Ladies Tea Party

After Elena had her "Dolly and Me Tea Party", it was my turn! So, the next day I invited some of my friends over for a "Ladies Tea Party".  It was so much fun! Take a look...

I'm kind of obsessed with these pom poms. :)

We took a few minutes to get our tea party hats on.
Ladies of all ages attended.

My mother-in-law had a few "get to know each other" activities lined up for us.
For one of them, we had to choose two things from our purses that told something interesting about us.
We pulled out things like tape measures, peanuts, breath mints, coupons, magnifying glasses, flashlights, cameras, screwdrivers... oh, it was a lot of fun!
And then it was time for tea!
These are some of the yummy things that we ate. Thanks to Liz and Cathy for helping with the food.
We had such a delightful time!

Look how sweet she is sipping her tea! I love this! And her!
We had a little more sharing time over tea, it was so fun to get to know these ladies better.
I especially loved having a tea party with these three ladies. If you haven't met them, I highly recommend it! They are absolutely lovely. These three women have a deep love for Jesus and have faithfully served in the local church for many years. I admire their faithfulness and I am challenged by it. Inspiring, to say the least. They are kind, friendly, welcoming, helpful and encouraging. And they are really funny and witty... with these three, laughter always abounds! I am so blessed to have them in my life and have them in my children's lives.
And I loved hosting this "Ladies Tea Party" with my mother-in-law, Karen. We did a lot of planning and prep work together. She sets a mean table, she is a lovely host and she has some really fun activities up her sleeve.

Oh, it was such a fun day with lots of lovely ladies!

Thanks for stopping by the Lundby Hive!

Dolly and Me Tea Party

I'm so excited to share these photos with you! A couple of weeks ago Elena had a few friends over for a "Dolly and Me Tea Party"! It was just lovely. I loved every minute of it and so did the girls... and I'm pretty sure the dolls loved it too. :)

We had lots of pink, lots of pom poms, and lots of tea cups.
And of course, lots of dolls.
Grandma Lundby was invited to the Tea Party too. She shared some of her "tea party" etiquette and experiences with them.
The girls were all so lovely. They held great conversation and they passed the food in the right direction.
And they sipped their tea delightfully.
Meanwhile, the dolls waited patiently for their turn.
Now that the girls were experienced "tea-party-goers", they hosted a fun and cheerful party for their dolls. It was completely adorable!

I love the aftermath of the "Dolly Tea Party"! It just makes me smile.
The girls even squeezed in a few minutes to do a little crafting.
The girls made fabric rosettes to glue on to barrettes for them and their dolls.
This was a great craft for this age. These girls could whip those creations out in no time and they kept on making more. It was a crafting success!

Here are a couple of clips the girls made.
Aren't they cute? The girls did such a good job!
Grandma thanked the girls for being such lovely ladies and having tea with her.
It was so fun watching these lovely young ladies have some good old fashioned fun!

A special thank you to my mother-in-law, Karen and my good friend Liz, (these two special ladies helped me a ton) I would not have taken this on without you! Thank you for all you did to make it a special day for all of the girls and their dolls!

As always, thanks for stopping by the Lundby Hive! :)
