Deacon: "Mommy, I really want to spend as much time as I can with my grandparents and cousins and aunts and uncles, but if I go with you now, Daddy will have to travel all by himself."
Oh, it's been an emotional day at the Lundby house. Lots of tears have been shed. It's been two years since we've gone to Minnesota and today is the day we're scheduled to fly out. Erik can't go, he's been sick, he needs to wrap things up at work, he'll join us in a few days. Deacon has been running a fever and we're still not sure if he'll make the flight tonight or if we'll have him wait a few days with Erik. Elena and I are going no matter what. That's not an easy thought for me to handle - leaving my little boy home when he's sick (not to mention that his arm is in a sling due to a possible broken arm). So, I'm praying, praying that his fever will break and that at least three of us can make the flight tonight.
Oh, I can't wait to go home again.
