We drove through two capitol cities in one day this past week-end. It was a hectic. I silently vowed to never do that again.
Yesterday, Elena eagerly asked me, "do you think we could go to three state capitols in one day? "
Um... gasp!
She saw the adventure, she saw the accomplishment and she wanted to try it again.
I have to admit that it is possible that I may have needed a new perspective.
It was a long day, but we got the job done. We needed a new car and we came home with one in the wee hours of the morning. I was exhausted, we all were, but somehow in the middle of it all, we made a memory for the kids. And that made it all worth it. Even if the memory was, "hey, look kids there's the state capitol building!" or "hey, look kids, there's the space needle!" as we whizzed by with barely a moment to make a pit stop.
Ah, the glamorous life of the Lundby Hive!

Not a bad photo considering it was taken through the windshield of the car. :) |
